Canadian Roots Exchange Program
Canadian Roots Exchange Program is a non-profit organization that believes, " that in order to bridge the gap between Canada's peoples, we need to become educated and aware of the teaching, triumphs, and daily realities of our indigenous communities." In order to make this belief a reality, Canadian Roots offers a number of programs that allow a number of young non-Indigenous Canadians to travel and live in Aboriginal communities in various regions across Canada. Some exchanges are also offered in partnership with Universities which allow University students to receive class course credit. This non-profit organization also offers workshops that help dispel stereotypes while deepening your knowledge of the history, including the struggles and triumphs, of Indigenous Canadians.
